Volunteer Service

Taught English free-of-charge to native Mandarin Chinese speakers in various cities in northern Taiwan from August 1983 to June of 1985. All funds required for this enterprise (e.g. to travel to and from Taiwan, and to live there) were wholly supplied from personal resources.

Coached Olympic-style Weightlifting to an innumerable company of undergraduates over the years since coming to BYU in 1998. Many of my athletes hold, or have held, various Utah State records. Founder of Utah's "Dynamo Sports Club" (see http://www.msbn.tv/usavision/displaypage. px?id=727 under UTAH).
